Let's chat about MAT CLASH!

Good morning wrestling community! We truly hope that life is treating you well! This morning, I wanted to talk about the upcoming release of our collectable wrestling card game MAT CLASH!

MAT CLASH was a concept we began playing with around Christmas of 2022. The idea of a collectable trading card game that plays out in the transition of a folkstyle wrestling match. It really dawned on us once we had three BMB universe characters. It began with our dude 'MB' and then Hammer. Naty came along as our first female character shortly thereafter. We wanted to bring these characters to life so to speak. Give them a purpose! 

Around 8 or 9 months ago, I started building the game rules and play style. When I say it was HARD, IT WAS HARD! Every time I thought I had it right, we had to tweak something. Eventually a few months ago it came together beautifully as intended. It was just consistently evolving our thought process. 

My partner began working on the card designs around the time we had the game play down and they turned out AMAZING! Each character has one or two variations in the base cards, with some characters being featured on the short print specialty cards. 

Wave 1 will feature a +7 FEET TO BACK specialty card that can be played in the neutral position and will be a pin card if the other wrestler doesn't play a defense card. The other specialty card is the COMEBACK! card. The COMEBACK! card can be played at any time and will bring the match to a tied score with the wrestler that played the COMEBACK! card ending the transition in the top position.

With inflation, we brought down the profit margin that we were hoping for due to higher shipping costs. We want to provide a truly great product and NOT BREAK THE BANK! We are truly a brand of the people! We think MAT CLASH can be a great solution to downtimes at tournaments, playing on family game night, or even for collectors searching for the eventual 'holy grail' specialty card so to speak. 

Imagine Pokémon meets Uno meets folkstyle wrestling! It is truly a very fun experience that we hope everyone enjoys. No game will ever end the same. We have played matches that were 0-0 going into overtime and we have played matches that were 24-16 major decisions. Great experience and will be never ending! 

When we begin working on Wave 2, we will add 2 new specialty cards into the Wave. The +7 FEET TO BACK and COMEBACK! cards will not be included in Wave 2. We know one of them will be the Coach Cutter inspired "Cut Em" card. This card will essentially work as a mix of a momentum card and a stalling card. For instance, wrestler A plays a +3 Takedown card. Wrestler A could then play the -1 Cut Em' card giving the other wrestler 1 point and allowing Wrestler A to play an additional +3 Takedown card. So essentially a 6-1 swing in the match!
