One of the most unique aspects of MAT CLASH is how faithfully the gameplay reflects traditional folkstyle scoring:
- Takedown (+3) — Just like in a match, it’s 3 points from neutral to control.
- Escape (+1) — Get away from bottom, earn your point.
- Reversal (+2) — Flip the position, take the top, and take 2 points.
- Near Fall (+2, +3, +4) — Score from top with a tilt/turn, just like on the mat.
- Pin — End the match immediately.
Even our specialty cards like Feet to Back (+7), and Scramble (+5) are designed to teach real concepts like high-amplitude scoring and tactical control — all built right into gameplay.
And just like in dual meets across the country, MAT CLASH uses team scoring:
- Decision (win by 1–7): +3 points
- Major Decision (8+): +4 points
- Tech Fall (15+): +5 points
- Pin or Mat Beast: +6 points
